Hey guys, so I have a 1987 fc with a s5 motor in it. The intake manifolds are s4 but the s5 originally takes back pressure from the split air pipe to open the actuators correct? So if I have a s5 motor and s4 intake manifold.. Can I just use the split air pipe instead of the air pump to open my 5th and 6th ports? Sorry I found quite abit of info on split air pipe itself but could not find anything occurring to a s5s4 swap. So any help is greatly appreciated. Even if it's just sendig me to the original post or anything. Thanks

 

Since you have the s4 intake setup, you'll want to shoot for hooking it up the s4 way with the split air pipe

The s5 intake depends on the air pump more for the actuators.

Or you could look up RPM switches to activate them
