CA 3rd Gear Transmission Problems

Hey guys I have a problem that maybe someone has heard of or has gone through. I have a 1991 rx7 with a jdm motor and transmission swap with about 40k on them. This past week she has not been wanting to go in to third gear smoothly. We topped off the transmission fluid from the underside and figured that would be it, but as of 3 days and 200 miles later she is still having problems going into third and does not want to down shift into third at all. Also if I am cruising below 3k rpm in third it sometimes will pop out of gear? If anyone has any ideas or trouble shooting tips please let me know.

Thanks guys,

Big Zack

slave / master going bad , Clutch fork being bent and not disengaging completely , Pressure plate being defective .

check the master and slave to ssee if there are any leaks .

It is not the master slave cylinder, there are no leaks and the rest of the gears shift fine. It may be the pressure plate or one of the clutch plates. Is there a way to check these without dropping the transmission?
