TX 2nd opinon on tps

I had replaced the O2 sensor and to do so I had to remove the throttle body. I changed the oil and plugs, all vacuum lines are hooked up correctly. Every now and then I can rev it up all the way most of the time when I go full throttle it revs to 2k rpm and bounces between 2000 and 1500. I've got a Haynes manual but it says nothing of a tps. Its a 88 n/a rx7 GXL model with a 5-speed new cats about a week ago. Now I'm a walmart employee but I had to get gas and unfortantly it was walmart gas I prefer exxon me and friends always have problems with walmart gas creating hiccups in cars but never a full brick wall. I have searched it and others with about the same problem are asked to check the tps. I have worked at a mazda dealership as a lube tech doing basic oil changes and things like that. I have learned some of what I know from my dad and the rest trial and error on a 94 protege and a 2000 wrangler.When something like this happened to my protege I replaced fuel filter and tps it fixed it for a few weeks then I found that it was a air check valve. Like I said just lookin for a second opinon don't have the money for trial and error right now. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated. And I'm not spotting the tps can't find a pic of what it looks like either.

check the tps specific ranges as suggested by the FSM;
when the TB is closed and during the sweep to wide open throttle.
you just need a multimeter to check.......
