2nd Gen Size Concerns

The first thing I do when I join a car forum is do a search for size issues that people are having, and they always come up with height, but I have another concern - Weight. I am 6' flat, so no worries there but I have never even sat in an RX-7 but I am a BIG GUY (400 pounds). How much room would a 2nd Gen have, would you say more or less than say an Eclipse or a EF Hatch? I have owned both and can "fit" but I had to swap the seat and strip the door on the GSX.

My endgame would be a completely stripped interior, rhino lined, with a racing bucket seat. Are there any bigger guys who own one of these beauties that can give me some advice or can talk me out of this?

I'm 300ish and 6'2 with a 42 or 44 waist (depending on the pant company) and i fit in mine. Its not to tight for me, but i got long legs so i think that helps.....some
