NM 2 questions: 85 GSL-SE

Getting ready to start my 13B to 91 S5 13BT swap. I would like to do the clutch fan delete and add an electric fan. I am also going to replace the clutch in the S5 before it goes back in, so my questions are:

1.) What size e-fan should I buy for the rad? There are a million different one's out there so I'd like to get the one that fits the best and is recommended by someone else who's already got one.

2.) Any suggestions on which type clutch and where to buy from for the S5? I have no clue what stage 1, 2, 3 etc mean. I just want the car to be able to handle the new power it will be getting and something that will last a while. Don't mind paying a bit extra for quality.

1. can't help you much with this one because i recently found out that all the e-fans that i actually thought were worth a damn are actually hit or miss in the "real world". browse the Gen I section. there are MANY people that did the T2 conversion years ago and are still around.

2. i have sworn by ACT for quite a number of years now. i have been happy with every ACT clutch i have purchased. for staging, it really boils down to how much power you intend to run. lower number is stock or modestly increased and the numbers increase from there. generally speaking, streetability decreases with higher stages as you transition from sprung hubs to unsprung solid, metallic or carbon discs.

if you plan to put the engine in and drive, with maybe some basic upgrades, then the Stage I should be just fine. however, i have gotten in the habit of buying one stage more than what i "think" i need, just in case.
