1stgen Exhaust Manifolds?

I have a 85 GSL with a 12a and the stud on the cat side of the manifold snapped when i tried to losen the rusty nut. ide rather not have to drill it out so i went to the local junkyard for a replacement part. he had 1 and it was on an 83 12a. his computer said it wasnt compatable but he has been wrong before. Any help here?

Does the stud still have a little left that you can grab it with a pair of pliers? If you can still grab it you can get it out like that.

Drill a hole in the stud and try the reversable bits.Try heating it up so the lock tight loosens up.I did it before & it worked.

Best idea? Get rid of the manifold! Buy a racing beat header and presilencer, you will love the performance increase.
