1997 Rx7 won’t start

hey guys

I trust you are well, I am having a problem for close to year trying to start this car
1997 rx7
car is stock apart from apexi twin air intake
cannon ball exhaust ( stock cat is still there)
brief history the car was shipped from Japan. Ship was caught in the storm and some straps snapped and the car was pinballed in the container( mainly cosmetic damage in pics below) so it sat a year at the panel beater and was repaired.
When I received the car the ffg was done:
new oil 20w50 ( old oil smelled like Petrol)
new plugs ngkbur9eq x4
fresh fuel
deflood procedure done
car has good compression
Tried to start it and it will turn, the tach needle bounce oil pressure builds but it won’t start.

I check:
-fuel pump and power to pump all good
-spark plugs it’s wires and coils all check out good
- checked the intake piping as well as the rat nest for any hoses not connected or solenoids not plug in all is in order
- cleaned all ground points
- checked egi and circuit relay found the egi relay inside was broken replaced it with another ( closes I could get was one from a Toyota Lexus it’s a sliver denso 12v) also replaced the egi 30amp fuse as it was blown
- the starter unit the red wire was loose so I secured it back into to the connector of the starter
- I noticed this ecu has no ground point (my 92 fd ecu has a ground point by the ecu)and that there is a wire (pic below) that is cut I left it as is .

After doing all the above and I still can’t get this car to start. It will turn but not start
The coolant is green but also has a green sludge in it so I am not sure if that sludge is messing with the temperature sensor and it’s not giving a signal to ecu so it could be the cause

I am sorry for the long post but I tried to give enough info as possible and did almost everything I could myself before creating this post . It’s a year now since it came from the panel beater and it has not started

any help is appreciated

Welcome!! Your FD has a lot of potential. I moved the thread to the New Member Tech section. Will be better there.

Terrible what happened to that FD.

I could be wrong, but that video you posted sounds like a zero compression engine trying to start. Check compression?

If no compression, could be a stuck seal from sitting.

Did you verify the mileage between when you dropped the car off at the shop and when you got it back?

Get a new battery.

Verified fuel and spark?

Looks like you have an airbag light on so I'm assuming the pinballing tripped a couple crash sensors.

I dont see your tach bouncing.

The vehicle in Japan was working prior to shipping. Then the carnage on the ship happen and it was repacked in Singapore when the ship dock to wait the storm out.

the mileage is 120000km when the car was unpacked it was not driven . It was loaded on a rollback and taken to body shop then loaded on roll out and back to my residents.

I am trying to upload the video where it started for like a few secs and shut down but it’s saying file type not sorted .

the tach video I’ll upload it .

the vacuum hose on the rat nest as well as the solenoids are like brand new I am not use if this car was service / overhaul before going on auction.

Learning from my 92fd I did the usually check over for a rx7 that won’t start (which I did mention in my opening post)

From the pictures above
the starter unit with that red wire not connected
the vacuum hoses and solenoids are new
the egi fuse that was blown due to the faulty relay
the plugs are new
the fuel tank is extremely clean and I did fill with new fuel
the belts and oil filter are new like the vehicle was serviced before being sold
