While heavy porting (bridge etc) do have a distinct sound, I'm not sure you can definitively tell on a street port. Especially if it was done well and there's a standalone ECU...which there should be on a ported engine.
I will tell you (confess) that your engine idles better than my UNported engine since I added a lightened flywheel. One day I have to make the time and effort to do my own adjusting.

When I was adjusting the idle it seemed to like 900 to 950 anything under that and it starts to get a very distinctive loop to it. I'll be picking up a rotary compression tester sometime soon so depending how that comes out I might be finding out real soon if it is ported and if the ol girl needs to go under the knife. Thanks tho for the insight fellas.
