1991 rx-7 non-turbo

Hi I was wondering if any of you could help me. My 1991 rx-7 non-turbo is having trouble revving past 3000 RPM while in gear. It can rev past 3000, but only if the gas pedal is tapped on very lightly. I was wondering what the problem could be?

Use the advanced search feature and conduct a search concerning a ground issue related to the secondary injectors or problems concerning the secondary injectors. This will get you started in the right direction hopefully.

Also, pull codes to see if tells you anything of importance.

If you have engine codes I'd make sure that you aren't limp mode because of the oil metering pump. Driving it like that *could* cause some damage.
