1991 FC Vert error codes
So.... I scanned my codes and got the following codes. explains why it is in limp mode
8, 10, 33
the last code I would assume relates to the broken component of the 6th port actuator valve. I am still trying to find out what exactly he actuator connects to is called. see my other post with pictures.
Any thoughts on how to repair the MAF or does it require a new or functional used component replacement?
Only a few more posts and I can be released from isolation in the newbie section and allowed to enter the genpop..
thank to ANYONE who may be able to assist! SO far I am 0 for 2 on questions lol
8, 10, 33
- 08 - Airflow Meter (AFM) - Basic Fuel Injection and fixed timing (Cripple mode)
- 10 - Intake Air Thermosensor (AFM) - Intake air fixed at 68F
- 33 - Solenoid, Port Air Valve

okay, now we're getting somehwere. i wish i had seen this thread before the other one.
look at this: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...nction-698869/
again, i don't know of the auxiliary ports triggering limp mode. the port actuators are attached to the intake manifold (and can be seen from the outside) if you can provide a photo, that can easily be confirmed. the valves/sleeves themselves are inside the port, so the manifold would need to be removed to see them. on the S5, i believe they are driven from a signal from the air pump (as opposed to the exhaust, on the S4 cars), but there is no tie-in to the ECU that i'm aware of.
as far as your AFM is concerned, i would imagine there is a test procedure in the FSM. if it is, indeed, toast .... replace it.

hey. Thanks for the reply. It does look like the AFM is bad. I should be getting another one soon. I’ll post if that solves the issue or not.
also I am possibly getting a new LIM donor which may allow me to fix the broken valve and actuator.
slowly learning every day.... thanks to much support from the forum.
