1990 s5 T2 sputtering issue

hi there i have a 1990 s5 T2 and im having a issue with it. it runs and idles but once i throw it into gear with clutch in it starts to spit and sputter. does anyone on here happen to know what might be causing this? thanks alot

Check the TPS this happen to my 88 NA

either the tps or take of your throttle body and see if your butterfly valves are sticking
