VA 1990 non turbo

ok just bought the car tonight, has a minor idle issue but im a certified mechanic, and im leaning towards vacuum leak. there is a check engine light on but have not checked yet (just bought the car 4 hours ago) but.. fairly unfamiliar with rotery engines so i have a problem that arose on the way home. car drove fine till i got to the gas station after i bought it. got gas (left it idleing while getting gas cause starter solenoid is bad) when i pulled out of the gas station it was bogging down really bad, and oil pressure was around 30psi, now. i couldnt get it above 2k rpms so i dont know if that is acceptable for that low rpms, but i found out if a lightly touch the gas the car will accelerate so once i got to ~3k rpm it stopped bogging and oil pressure was ~45psi right in the normal range on gauge. but even then if stepped more then lightly on the gas it would bog REALLY bad. so i drove it to my work and left it there so i can check it out in the morning. checked the oil and it was pretty low.. like barely on the dipstick still. i didnt check it before i bought the cat so i dont know if it was already low or not. but wheni drove it the car ran strong and pulled hard for a non turbo.

so i plan on checking the car out tomorrow as soon as i get to work, but and heads up on common issues that would cause this from anyones exp would be VERY helpful

And also. if anyone is in the richmond VA area, im getting together a group buy on engines to swap (so far i have 3 people one 13b(turbo) , that being myself, and 2 S14 SR20DET motors. talked to the engine dealer and was told hed drop a huge chunk off the price and ship for free if i can get a few more people that want to buy... so hit me up

And thanks for any help on my problem in advance.

Don't take this the wrong way, but as a certified mechanic, you should know that the oil level Ash nothing to do with the oil pressure unless there isn't enough oil to be sucked up by the pump. Maybe you know this and I'm misunderstanding your post, but I don't see how the oil level as anything to do with the pressure and why you are dwelling on it with regards to the problem.

Now, as for the bogging, first fix any vacuum leaks as you already know. Then, test and adjust the TPS.

Before all of this, pull the codes. If you find out that you are actually in limp mode due to a bad metering oil pump, start hunting for a used pump so you don't have to spend $1600 at the dealer or troubleshoot a problem that doesn't exist.
