1988 rx-7 wont start help

Hi this is a common thing for me i manage to start it up but this time it wont and the main problem allt he time is its flooded alot and i got a 13b inject,

also i had to jump start my car yesterday and it was blowing whole lot of white smoke some ppl say it was my fuel gasket but idk when i got home i restarted the car it start up plz help me

im new to rotary

Just sounds like it's flooded. Do me a favor though; think out clearly what you would like help with, and then write out what you want to say in Microsoft word. Press F7. It will help out greatly because this is a technical section and alot of people will just ignore a problem they can help with.

First things first. What's the history of the car? How long have you owned it for? When you bought it did the previous owner say anything about any problems they were having with it?

What are the symptoms, and how do they usually come about? Does your car flood when it's shut off at normal operating temperature? Does it flood when it's cold? Are there any modifications to it?

Answer these questions and we'll be able to help you better.

Depends if you're smoking white all the time and its a sweet smell, I would say its a blown water jacket seal or the outside casing of a housing breaking off into the coolant area. Thats what my car did, hence the need for my last rebuild.

Motor might have low compression. Low compression can lead to constant flooding and the oil rings are probably leaking.

could also be leaking fuel injectors.

I would start with a compression test, and if that checks out ok, then I would send the injectors in to be cleaned.

The flooding could be from the injectors, but that dosent explain the smoke.

Of course it does. If your engine is flooding it is going to smoke like a banshee.

I bought my car cheap, turns out it was only flooded. Since it was flooded it wouldn't start.I believe its the coolant seals, their most likely blown if its constant white smoke. Sorry didn't see white on my first post. Now I'm looking for another cause my grandmother is using it LOL. Sorry dont mean to get off subject.

One thing you can do is take out the green 40 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box, forget what fuse it is but it controls the fuel injectors and spark plugs, (make sure the ignition is off when you take it out or put it in!!!!) get in push the gas to the floor and crank it for about 10 15 seconds, put the fuse back in and crank it without touching the gas n it should start right up, might have to give it a little gas once u hear it fire. deffinately something wrong if its doing this regularly
