MS 1985 rx7 catberator will not start

car sat for a couple of weeks. 102k miles 12a motor. Replaced cap rotor and plugs. Have 1.4 ohms at the coils. Car turns over but acts like no compression. It has done this before, usually waited a few minutes then try again and starts not this time. Where do I start looking?

Do you have fuel and spark at the plugs

Also you can download a service manual for free at foxed.ca , that will give you flow-charts for checking those things

spark is good, I have fuel even used starting fluid, no pop. Pulled plug and the nice whoosh sounds like there is compression. Plug looked wet, it flooded out the last time it almost ran. pulled distributor and ensured that the rotor moved when I cranked the motor. It did,
What next?

But are you getting compression on each face of the rotors, you need to de-flood your engine first. Is your timing correct? You can also try to squirter a little oil into the spark plug holes, or pour a little into the carb.if your compression is low, the oil should build it up a little bit, enough to make it start

getting gas all over my arm when changing fuel filter, so no blockage there. Test check valve, not clear. Went to auto zone, no such item. Google on where to buy them, no joy. put a straight thru and the motor starts and runs. So that was the issue. So where do I buy such a thing? Do I need one? Yea, I know if I roll the vehicle it could save my life, but....
