1985 FB GSL Vanishing Oil Leak

I bought a 1985 GSL with 195xxx miles (No idea on the engine) a little over a month ago and when I first got it it had quite the oil leak. It was losing about a quart and a half a week, and there was a mess of old oil in the bottom of the engine bay. In an effort to pinpoint the leak I cleaned up the engine bay and kept an eye on it, waiting for oil to return. The oil didn't return and I assumed that it was just from a spill. The radiator was free of oil junk, there were no spots of oil left on the ground when I moved my car, and I wasn't blowing smoke out my exhaust except for a little when I first started it.

Shortly after this the oil leak started getting slower and slower, and now it is completely stopped. I have not had to add oil for two weeks and it is still reading full. My oil pressure is good and I am completely lost. I am not really complaining about an oil leak magically fixing itself, but I am very curious about what happened. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I can only suggest to keep an eye on the oil level, and see if the leak "returns".
Place the car over cardboard and it will give you an indication of where to look, roughly, when the leak does occur.
That cardboard will also save the driveway or parking spot from getting oil soaked too..so call me a Tree hugger..NOT!

Thanks man, hopefully it doesn't return. Sure is puzzling me though, I couldn't find anything exactly like my situation in the search. I thought maybe it could have something to do with the car sitting for quite a while (I think like 4 months), and then getting a tune up and suddenly being driven everyday.

Nothing ever magically fixes itself.
..that is why they invented band-aids and beer.

I can dream right? Although having seen some of the stuff the previous owner did to this car, it would not surprise me to find beer and bandaids in the engine bay
