CA 1983 RX-7 GS Original Owner

Proud owner of a Charcoal Grey 1983 RX-7 with 89K miles. I would like to replace the ignition coils to CRANECAMs PS20's. Not sure if I need to use the resistors that came along with the kit. I believe the resistor will lower the ohms to 1.3 - 1.9. Hopefully, this will not ruin my engine or anything else. Any help would be appreciated. I believe the RX-& Manual says the primary should be around 1.22 to 1.48 ohms. Do i need to install both resistors for both coils????

Help..

Welcome to the club. I am an original owner of a 1980.
I use MSD coils and a MSD unit on mine.

I have to check to see if I have the sticker...

Did you have to install the resistors to lower the Ohms?

Sorry i can't help with your question. I used to use MSD units (1 L and 1 T) with factory coils and resistors and low resistance Racing Beat Ultra wires on my '83 but went back to stock ignition setup.
