couldn't get it to start put a new battery then realized the starter was seized,after installing new starter i realized the fuel tank was rusted beyond repair. so i got a new fuel tank i suspect could fit. any information would be greatly appreciated as this is my first rx-7 rotary. old tank this is the old gas tank that was to rusted to be repaired new tankcurrent gas tank that i wanna know if i can modify to install instead

Don't let the rotary scare you. Aft of the engine it's like any other 80's (carb'd) car. Check out the 1st Gen. Sticky at the top of this section. I believe you'll find a link for a downloadable Factory Service Manual that will come in handy.
