1981 12a rebuild

Need some help from the rotary experts. I have a first gen (1981) 12a that I rebuilt over the winter. The motor is completely stock. After dealing with some minor start up issues, it now starts up fairly easy but seems to be mis-firing a bit and cannot seem to get the idle below 13-1500 rpm's without stalling out. It is driveable and very smooth at higher rpm's. Also, I did a streetport on it as part of the rebuild. I have checked the obvious (plugs, vacuum leaks, plug wires, timing, etc). Nothing has helped so far. I am hoping that someone out there can steer me in another direction. Thanks in advance for your help on this.

Just did the initial start up the other day. Probably hasn't been running for more than 5-6 hours. I've put about 50 miles on it.
