1979 Barn find
1979 Barn Find
Clean car 63K.
Oil down intake throat to condition. Turned over without plugs until dry.
Turns over. Good spark. Fires off when fuel down throat.
Line from tank does not free flow to pump.
Ran line from fresh gas can to pump. Good flow to carb, but no juice from carb to sustain running.
Do I need static pressure from tank?
How can I get a quick clean on jets to get to run?
1. I need to drop tank. Any ideas/pointers.
2. I need to clean / rebuild carb.

Sounds like an awesome find. Can't be a lot of those out there. But this isn't the place to advertise a car FS. The mods may edit your post to the tech questions you put up. Not up on the FB's at all, but I'm with you that it's probably the carb keeping it from running. I also think I've read that the OEM (Niki?) carbs are tough to rebuild.
