15A Engine Fuse Blew, So Did Something Else

Was driving my bone stock 1982 roxie to work when I lost power, felt like half the engine fell out. Limped the next mile to work where I discovered the 15A Engine fuse was blown. Replaced it and it fired right up. Now when driving after the choke pops in the engine sometimes hesitates or stalls. Fires right back up but if I sit still and lightly feather the accelerator on occassion it hesistates. Any ideas would be appreciated. Car is totally stock and unmolested, has 5 speed manual and original 12A engine. Ran perfect for years before this.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Started at the carb as you suggested, thanks. Seems there is a TSB about the 15A fuse blowing and it said to check the wiring harness leading around and to the carb. Tested a few components and think the Air Control Solenoid on the carb is FUBAR, juiced it with 12 volts and it fails to click, removed it and benchtested it results are the same.

Now I am finding that parts for 1st gens are quite rare, auto parts stores do not have this part, Mazda dealership does not have it and some of the local Mazda used parts places don't either.

Anyone know of a good 1st Gen Used Parts resource? Thanks for helping a newbie.

Build your post count up (I think it's 10), then post a want ad in the 1st GEN classified section of this forum for whatever parts you need....somebody's bound to have what you're looking for.
