13B turbo motor, What years couyld it be

I purchased a 13B turbo motor for my 93' being told it was a turbo ported motor from Racing Beat. It ends up the motor is cabureted, yet turbo. What years could this motor be from. I'd also like to get an idea what the motor should be worth (it has never been installed since being to Racing Beat).

I appreciate any info.

Without pictures no one can answer your question. Also, a 13B was the engine used in late 1st gens & all 2nd gens ('86-'92). The 13B-REW was the engine used in 3rd gen RX-7s. This detail may help you figure it out.

photos will help you get the best answers to your question. in lieu of photos though, i suppose one of the most relevant issues for you is to check if it has provisions to mount it from the rear housing.

not stock. the last factory-carbureted 13Bs i know of are from 1978. it's not likely that you have one of those. also, they weren't turbocharged.

all of the 1984+ 13Bs were fuel injected from the factory. the thing is you can convert any one of them to carburetion relatively easily. obviously, you can also turbocharge any of them as well.

the things you need to illustrate with your photos are the intake ports and the mounting points. those will go a long way in helping to identify what you bought.
