13b engine swap

Hi everyone, I am buying a 13BT used online and the site says it could have between 30 to 45K miles on it. Should I have it rebuilt and have the apex checked or would they be fine without being replaced?

It depends on the condition of the engine. Some places will try to sell you blown engines because they don't know how to test it. A compression test will be needed at the minimum. This requires a pressure gauge, a transmission or transmission bell housing, a starter, a battery & cables. Ideal compression will be 100psi or greater on both rotors. Search for "compression test" for more info on doing this.
