13b Carb Build HELP
13b Carb Build HELP
I cant find a detailed build list for converting your 13b to a carb set up. All i want is to run the engine nothing else. I know the basics like needing the 85 or older ignition, and 2 coil packs. I will need a fuel pump proper for a carb set up, as well as some sort of rev limiter.
Thanks,
Patrick

welcome to the board.
by your '85 and older comment, i will assume you have a Gen II. however, it would be helpful if you state what car you have when you post questions like this.
that said, you pretty much have the basics of what you need. you'll need to wire in the distributor from a Gen I. coils are optional, as some of the Gen I guys run Gen II coils as a direct fire ignition upgrade. unless you plan to run some kind of amplification box (not necessary), i don't see where you would get a rev limiter.
you'll need an appropriate fuel pump.
depending on what carbie you plan to run and what Series engine you have, you may also need to get some block-off plates.

As stated above. I think you'd use your leading coil, my choice would be an msd 6201 to feed it. Then a 1st gen can coil to feed trailing through the distributor.
There's an msd box with a rev limiter, but I'd just use my brain and feet for that.
