i just got my first gen rx7 im pretty new to the rotary world so i have some questions to ask.. um ive done some research about motors and ports and so fourth so im in search of more power out of my 12a its stock basically bolt ons rb intake 600 holley rb header electric fan soo i wanted to try a bridgeport so i posted an ad to see who can bridgeport my 12a @ a decent price {were in a recession lol} anywaays some guy said raul in ft lauderdale is the man to talk to for rotary porting and so fourth ive heard of clr crispeed and pettit but some guy told me he had a 12a sides with a major bridgeport that hell give me for a 100$ but i really dont know what sides are??? is rotor housingss? he said that it will have to be resurfaced lapped or w.e plzz tell me if its a deall helppp?

 

He is referring to the irons that are at both ends of the engine, and in the middle.

If he says they need to be resurfaced, then there must be a reason. Maybe they have been sitting, or are just plain worn out. Resurfacing will cost several hundred dollars.
