[Hello] I'm here for Rx7 tuning and help.

My name's Michael, Im purchasing an 87 FC N/A and I would like some advice before/after purchase for what to look for when I go to see the car. Apparently the guy says it runs a bit rough and is kind of hard to start,( does that mean timing is off?) and it has a rebuilt engine that has 26k miles on it. Any Advice anyone?
Thanks :O

A rough idle can be due to incorrect mixture or vacuum leaks. And hard starting (mostly when warm) can be due to dirty fuel injectors, the rich stock start map or low compression.

if it has low compression, does that mean the apex seals are leaking?

Low (or no) compression can be caused by damaged, worn or missing apex seals or side seals. It's a good thing to test for when buying a car, but if the engine really does only have 26k miles, it's not that likely. A lack of power will be the most obvious sign of a blown engine, while an engine that's just not quite making as much compression as it used to will be harder to notice.
