i believe that is the 8 that can run on either hydrogen or gas.

Stop believing the hype. There are NO concrete plans for making another RX7 at all at this point. There are some drawings, ideas, and maybe a concept car, but no production plans at all. Mazda doesn't have room in their lineup at the moment, and for sure wouldn't want to spend money to make another rotary which would shadow the RX-8, one of their best selling vehicles. Plus, until the rotary gains a good bit of long-term reliability rep, you won't see ANY FI rotaries in the near future.
