Saw this parked in a lot between buildings in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The gate was open that day so I left a note on it, but a few days later I saw that the note was still in the same spot.

Anyone know whose car this is? I was wondering if there is any more space in that lot...I need to find parking for my FD (right now I park it on the street). I live right around the corner...

Judging by the lift on the front end, I would guess the motor is out (couldn't tell if it was jacked up, the grass was grown up pretty high). Also, it looks like they removed a "bull horn" spoiler from the trunk lid - it was leaning against the wall in front of the car.

Well, if this is your FD, drop me a PM. I would love to know if there is any more room for another FD in this lot!

holy crap, how could i have missed that??? I am always around that neighborhood and i never saw that FD before. hey tom there is garages where i keep my FD in williamsburg/greenpoint area but they want $300 a month a little radical but if your interested i can get some info for you.

 

300 a month?! We are charging our neighbor 60 dollars a month to use a space on our driveway. Then again it is a special deal for him. We would probably charge 100-130 if it was someone else.

BTW, quite a sad looking FD.

 

I agree that it looks like a roller by how high the front end sits. Also, I spy some rear bins on the ground. How long has it been sitting there I wonder?

 

As soon as I heard Williamsburg I automatically thought it might be yours, but I guess not.

 

mine was the only FD in williamsburg untill theorie,and that black FD he found also my buddy just bought a black R1 so i guess there is 3 FDs in williamsburg now.

 

yeah...i was looking to spend $200 or less per month for a space in a lot...

still havent found out who that fd belongs to...every time i walk by it the note is still on the door latch...

 

well my buddy and I are looking for a 2 or 3 car garage so we can work on our cars with more space. If we find one soon and we end up leaving the garage in greenpoint then i will let you know.

I know where there is a spot but its in whitestone queens and i dough you want your car all the way out there.

 

Can somebody please rescue that poor FD from a slow torture of rust and decay!

 

Thats nothing, i spotted a nice white R1 in a back yard of an old house down in the ghetto in Brooklyn and i have been hawking it for the past 4 years and the old lady still will not sell it. I have knocked on her door about 5 times in 4 years and she still says NOOOOO.

I wonder who owns this black one tho- but i am sure theorie is on it.LOL

Hey tom i will keep my eyes open for spaces,if i find you a spot in return i want you to do the 99 spec lights MOD on my car. LOL just kidding.....I have been wanting to do this but i am afraid of messing up the lights.

 

yeah, garages in Greenpoint and Williamsburg are a rare find for a decent price. there are a few lots that are somewhat feasible in price. But yeah I've never seen that rx7 around either. lets hope when the note disappears off the window the owner will contact you. I mean I would hope that they show there soon with parts laying outside of the car like that.

 

I wonder why she wont sell it...

I would leave a note on the car, see if the owner calls back... or i would ask to see who the owner is... May be he wan'ts to get rid of it...

i was kind of looking for a monthly thing. i only drive my car about once a week so i would only need to get at it about once a week...

I was driving around Williamsburg today and after talking to mobeoner he said someone was calling him in his car I figured I would drive by where I saw theories car. and low and behold I Was flagged down with the same. "Hey! RX7" Must be your pick up line. It was nice to finally meet you and talk. your set up is sweet but we need to get you off of the street bro. Looking forward to hanging out again and setting up a meet in Brooklyn.

 

i found a parking space!!!

today when i was moving my car to the other side of the street (for the street sweep tomorrow) a guy came up and asked if i was looking for a space.

apparently he owns an empty lot like 2 doors down from my apartment and there is a space available. i asked how much and he said only $100 per month. hell yes!!! it's not a garage space, it's a lot, but there is a huge chainlink fence with barb wire and a huge ******* padlock. my street is pretty safe already but if i can get this space i will definitely be able to sleep a little more sound at night. haha

hopefully it works out, i need to call him about it tonight after work.

 

300 bucks is alot for a garage.

There was a garage for rent up the block from me which was 300 bucks a month but its a 2 car garage/single door. I dont need that big of a space and my friend backed out in sharing it with me so there goes that.

I really want a garage instead of parking my car in the driveway under a tent lol. its soo ghetto.

 

You're from Jersey. Land is cheap there (compared to NYC).

 

Prices arent significantly different.

Northern jersey prices are JACKED up because of being close to NYC. So our prices are almost the same as yours.

You just have higher tax. Like 12% now?? lol thats outrageous.
