when is loud to loud for exhaust??!!!

So,I got or should I say had a racingbeat header,to a gutted cat to 2 magnaflow mufflers. Now that I got the historic tag it was time to have the exhaust done right.
I had Eld replace everything from the header back basicaly single pipe to one muffler,no more fake duals.Well now that all the **** is gone its pretty quit(In the car)Open the window and around 4k holy **** this thing is screaming!!! I know rotarys are loud as hell but ****! I put the silencer in the muffler all that did was make it sound like ****.Sounded like it was running underwater so I had to take that thing out.Dont get me wrong,I can actually feel a power increase now but she is truly loud as hell now.Any suggestions without lossing the new found power??

Borla xr-1 instead of the straight pipe after the header. You'll thank me when you stop grinding your teeth.
