VA Tutorial on the FD needed...call it FD 101 (and help with Y-pipe install)

Okay...maybe 201.

It seems like I'm the only one that can't install a Y-pipe and this somewhat hurts my manhood to post this. The searching and reading hasn't helped. Everything is out but I just can't seem to locate the bolts that hold the back of the inlet pipe to the second turbo to loosen it to remove the old Y. I'm tired of reading and emailing those that have offered pics, etc. But as I remove more parts to do various tasks I'm tackling (FC thermoswitch, plugs and wires, intercooler)....I was thinking: why not ask for a "class" from some friendly enthusiast who wouldn't mind coming out and helping with this while spreading some knowledge on the subject - the FD. And also answer questions like: "is there supposed to be oil in the intercooler piping," "what's this thing do here," "what's that do there," etc? I learn a lot faster with visuals and a live demo (as do lots of other people.) I need something more besides all this "book reading" I've been doing. And it wouldn't be a bad idea to meet fellow FD enthusiasts. I know they're out there but I don't see many around any more in NoVA.

Some background: I've had my FD since 2000 and most reliability mods have been done and mostly by shops around the area. As the specialists started moving on, I realize it'll be a lot cheaper and more satisfying working on it on my own. I'm just beginning to learn how to do this myself and have never had much knowledge on cars. My biggest accomplishment so far would be R&R'ing the radiator/AST/main coolant hoses....peanuts compared to the jobs I've seen on this site. I spend more time now just staring in awe at the engine bay and what I'm getting myself into.

Let me know if anyone would like to take on a junior apprentice. And just like any other specialty class/clinic, I'm willing to compensate. Maybe get a few cars here and get a group class going.

Thanks.

Make sure you take out that heat shield from under the anti lock brake contraption. The hidden bolts to the back of the inlet pipe of the secondary turbo? I can get one nut out from the top of the engine bay. Then I go under the car with a 2ft long 1/4" drive extension and a fkexible 10mm socket to get the lower nut.
