I spoke to Nelson today. He needs a $250 Non- refundable deposit from each of us and dates. Do we want weekdays or weekends?

Do we send deposit after the date is confirmed? I'd prefer to do so to ensure I can make the agreed upon time.

Lets all confirm a date that will work for us, then we will deposit

I prefer weekdays , but I know most of you work during the week so most likely is not going to be convenient for most guys , but you can double check on that . Saturdays are usually the most common days for dyno days .

July 15th weekend I'll be in Canada for the drift World series with the team , so that weekend will not be good for a dyno day , and I'm not quite sure yet about the 4th of July week perhaps the 8th or the 22nd will be good days .

What Airport will be the best one for me to arrive on ?

Regards,

Nelson S

This is the email I got from Nelson this morning. Im thinking Newark NJ airports would be best for him to get to IRPerformance

Have no idea airport wise being from dc. Honestly if I get the date in time, i can put leave in. As mentioned only bad for me is the 22nd due to the big show in virginia beach. Preferably before then and can do weekend/weekdays. Will be looking close at finances for me as i'm probably buying the newer modular adaptronic ecu this week since my old one will be down for awhile. Also may be easier to just get everyone's number since we will be in this together all the way to the actual day.

Weekdays are best for me if I am going to host this at my shop. I have very few free weekends during the summer. I have a lot of family obligations, weddings, etc.

Yes that would be perfect. We typically tune here on Fridays. We could do it over the course of 2 or 3 days if necessary, depending on how many customers commit.

So we have decided that the 20-21st of July should work for everyone and IRP. I have emailed Nelson on this date and waiting for payment info. The dyno rental per car will be roughly $200 per person.

Ok Jose, July 20-21st will work then . If possible I would like an attached file from each customer with a resume of the following :

1.engine specs , including very detailed description of the fuel system
2.Engine bay pictures
3.Current ECU MAP

This will allow me to go trough all of the info and perhaps point out a potential problem with their set up and this way gives us enough time to fix it before the dyno day .

Payment can be sent individually by each customer using Paypal set up as gift to : nelsiverio@hotmail.com

Regarding your questions .... What ECU are you using with the RX-8 knock sensors ? Although I have done set ups of up to 25psi of boost with meth injection , I don't recommend them , I would suggest an 18psi-20psi setting instead . The reason why is a 20 minute conversation that would be best to have face to face instead of email .

The 7420-10 will work just fine .

Regards,

Nelson S

Good stuff, already emailed and payed deposit. Gonna be a super busy/long week since ECRC is the 22nd. Most likely gonna be heading to NJ morning of the 21st, then the long trip to V. Beach for the next day but super stoked to have a nice and safe tune.

well it's the 250 for Nelson, then 2-300 for the dyno time. Seems like 1-2 people are falling out due to mx stuff.

Heads up for others viewing and somewhat interested, this WILL NOT happen if we don't get the deposit in for at least 5. It is not a setup up event the day of the 21st, so get in so we can lock this down.

At this point, it seems we will have to post pone this for a later date. We need 5 cars for this to happen. It can happen with less but at a much higher cost.
