ouch that sucks......but certainly your not the only local fd.....and its still warm enough that you guys can keep your cars out.....

 

Well it kinda sucks when meets start at 9PM on a weeknight when people normally show up an hour later than that anyway, its too late, too prone of cops watching us cause its late and people have work the very next morning early.

I say one day, hopefully before winter comes, have a nice sunday afternoon meet, say around 1PM and i guarantee we will have a better outcome.

Most of the meets i go to (not rx7 related), its held on a saturday or sunday and there are HUNDREDS of cars, of all types, even if its mainly car specific, you get a big turnout because those are neutral days, days people would wanna hang out, not on a weeknight.

 

ya 9 is late.. i get up at 7am..

 

i went a few times and was there till 11pm with chris and kel, and takes me bout 1hour and half to get home. I gotta be up at 530am err day lol. 9 is iiight..

 

im up at 545 the next day and we have permission to be there.....police force is not an issue.....and every time i have gone people have been showing up on time....sure you have a few who roll through later but we are usually there till 11-12...as for sunday meets we did have one 2 weeks ago and 1 (one) fd showed up.....

 

Then you're or someone is publicizing the meet wrong then.

The meets i go to, its a freaking orgy. Cars out the ***, you would think fast and furious 1 came out again.

I guess it might be too late to host a fairly large meet but someone should plan on setting up a meet for early early spring. That way theres ample time for people to get their cars ready and people to attend. Again on a nice sunday afternoon, sorta like the route 17 meet at Garden state mall like 3 years ago.

THAT was a HUGE meet, even with the winter weather.

 

we prefer it to be less than 100 cars.....(it averages 75ish) because it doesnt bring that much attention....if i wanted to promote a huge meet i would be promoting edgewater because there are easily 600 cars there every thursday night.......all i was trying to do was get some more rotaries together but it seems like some rotary owners dont like other types of rotaries i guess

 

no i love all rotaries! just work alot and im tired after work so i dont wanna come out. i just dont care about other cars like civics and integras.. i care about rotaries and thats it.. i want a streight up rotary meet and thats it.. **** civics and integras and all those other bullshit cars.. i just cant stand them.. they all look the same and sound like ****, why would i want to see that? ill drive through my local high school parking lot if i want to see that..

We should try one more time host a weekend meet and i guarantee more people show up. If its a sunday, ill most definitely make it if its afternoon.

As far as the honda guys, some of those guys are cool, if you hang out with the hardcores, they are actually laid back and cool about all cars. But the ones still in high school or just started getting into teh game, those are the idiots.

 

dont get me wrong i dont hate the guys with civics i just dont really care for there cars..

well it was a ok nite..had some newbie's.the rescue squad rx8 came out from philipsburg..which is over hour away..nice car.. i dont understand y people are complaining about are meet at 9pm at night on a weekday when this guy drove over a hour to come to it and someone from brick came and he said his ride was 45minutes..got people like 30 and less minutes away crying about it..OH WELL..lets see how next week is if theres one..

I had a good time there tonight. I met some cool people and there were some nice cars there. I will probably go next week and see if we can get more people out there.

 

I dont go to rx7 meets lol. I go to other non rx7 related meets.

No offense to our family here or any rx7 owner in general but you guys are a bit boring.

Thats why if theres a HUGE turnout, ill go. Cause its more entertaining. But like 8-12 rx7 guys? Umm no thanks.
