Summer is upon us once again and now that I am confident that my yard will not be a swamp, I am going head first with the meet!! The meet will be held at my place in Vermilion OH on 6-21-14 and will start in the early afternoon, about noon or so. This should give those folks that are coming from a few hours away some time to to sleep and not have to get up at the rooster's crow of dawn. Plus with all of the food that we make, we can probably ear early AND later!! Basically whenever everyone starts showing up is when we will kick this thing into high gear, lol. As always, I will provide some food and some drinks and the means to prepare the food. Anything extra brought by attending persons would be much appreciated. I am thinking burgers and hot dogs and brats. I'll be sure to get a couple cases of water.

The meet will be the standard fare, as I cannot host as much excitement as Cedar Point. The shooting range at my house is always fun and will be open and all are encouraged to do some shooting. Bring some own guns or use one of mine, doesn't matter. I should have some ammo to spare.. I have a cruise route mapped out so that we can do some back road driving. We can figure out how long we want the cruise to be once everyone gets here. I encourage pictures to be taken and we do have some cool spots around the area to stop and take pics!! Repairs are welcome at my place and I offer my help working on anything anyone decides to bring. I have the tools and feel we can take on any job presented. Well, within reason. I can't rebuild a transmission in a reasonable amount of time, lol. As always there will be parts giveaways and plenty of parking and moving room! At the end of the day, for those who decide to stay late, I will have a fire (Mike, I've been saving used oil hahaha) and we can do 4th meal on the grill.

Everything we do is based on what you guys want to do, so I am open to suggestions or comments.

Remember, ANY and ALL makes of cars are welcome! Don't be shy if your 7 isn't road ready yet. Just come out and have a good time and hang with fellow RX-7 owners!!

Ed, great to hear!! If the weather is looking grim, I will reschedule two weeks later as I am off every other weekend! Look forward to having you and that beautiful LS out again this year!

Dave, what's the forecst look like in your area for tomorrow? they are saying rain in the morning here. I'll have to wait and see.

 

Looking to be partly cloudy and mid 70's. No rain allegedly, so as long as it holds out we will be in good shape.
