well turns out i might be able to get a better deal then $100 an hour for dyno(not sure yet) as for hotel we dont have to pay for that, cause i offered steve a room in my house, and he agreed. everyone will have to worry about the plane ticket, possible down payment on the dyno for the day and their own tune plus dyno time.

i just realized that the last weekend in march is easter soo, i have to either go the weekend before or after. steve said that he is tuning in MN one of those weeks so i have to double check wiht him. i hope this doesnt effect anyone.

thanks for the info and help al

any other questions please ask

Depends what you mean. Do you know why your car isn't running correctly? Or are you thinking it is lack of tuning? Steve Kan is a good guy and he provides feedback based upon what he sees in the dyno plot and the dataloggit.

Troubleshooting in general is best done before you get there. Is there a good mechanic near you that you can take the car to? Feel free to PM me with the details of your problem and I'll see what feedback I can give you.

Brandon,

I don't have much to worry about ...next time make sure you turn your boost up, shift higher and bring some money....

John
And how much boost are you running?

Hey Guys:
I'd be willing to underwrite Steve's airfare again. We'll need to know a firm date, though, ASAP.

I had Jodeny over yesterday to take a look and help me find the missing 70 hp, and he made a suggestion that seemed way too obvious- as you recall, Steve Kan felt there was a restriction in either the intake tract or exhaust. Since then, I've replaced the turbos with the TEC modified turbos that were formerly on Wael's car, replaced the HKS downpipe with an ATR mandrel bent DP, checked the hi-flow cat for flow, checked the IC, and air filter, and while changing plug wires, found that the throttle valve was not fully open at WOT!! I guess you could consider it a 'restriction', huh?

Of course, I button it all up, take it out for a test, and all I can get is .56bar of boost...8lbs!! Got to love these cars......

And, oh, Brandon, you should figure out a way to ensure that everyone that is coming does come. You'll recall that last time we thought we would have 5-6 cars....Maybe get a deposit of $100 or so from each confirmed participant.

And T&R is fine with me.

T&R may be a better place to have it because anyone who runs into problems that day could be better off troubleshooting in a rotary shop....its also a few minutes from my house hehe

I spoke to Tony about it again, the dyno will absolutely stay open as late as needed. Since it's Rx7 guys, no advanced deposit is needed.

Anthony

[QUOTE=alberto_mg]I think we paid $100 an hour for dyno time last year. Matt at Lizzard was a good host, but if Tony is willing to keep the shop open late that would be cool. I remember a certain FD that got tuned as the shop was closing, Brandon

If Tony is willing to keep it open late, it might be a good option to go there. This way Steve can do a couple of more cars and make the trip more worthwhile (read profitable) for himself and more of the local guys can get tuned. Win/Win situation there.

Did they have a wideband and was that included in the $100 an hour price?

Thanks

i am interested. if we can do a weekend in april. i think march 19th will be tough for non local guys like myself. may still be snow around. why not schedule it for a time when we know weather wont be an issue.

Do we have a total cost?
