yeah, everyone feel free to stop by. But at this point the only people reading this thread are the people being tuned.

AMRAAM4 08-14-06 09:21 PM

So far we are going to be heading up around 8:45am the 26th. I have set up to meet at the Maryland House service area in the center of I-95 right after Exit 80 (Riverside/Churchville). Hope this is OK with you and your friend Austin. Anyone else who wants to meet and join us let me know.

haha, cool. Alrighty, so you can feel at home with Blitzed33, he is just coming for the hell of it and to meet. He's also going to try and get my strut nut off LOL I think he just got some work done at PFS by Ray and wants to put some miles on the car with some rotary folks. :)

I saw his car down there when i dropped some parts off around May. I also think he was there this weekend when i went down i just wasnt sure it was his car and i dont know him anyways. Very impressive though if i am thinking of the right car.

FDNewbie 08-15-06 05:46 PM

I'm still tryin to make it :)

Randall F 08-15-06 08:38 PM

I'll be there too. My car was tuned by Steve in Alabama but I wanted him to take another look at it. I'm coming down from New Jersey and I need the address of the shop where the tuning will take place. By the way I repaced my primaries with 850s and the power fc will adjust the signal so the car won't run rich if you change from 550s to 850s on the commander. I don't know if you can put 1300s in or not for the secondaries but at highway speeds you're only on the primaries anyway. LIke the other guys say, just accelerate easy. Randall

Scrub 08-15-06 08:43 PM

Randall, have you talked to Steve about that? I have no problem with you coming, but you might wanna tell him he's gonna be looking at your car :)

BTW, we have enough cars now. No new cars will be accepted for tuning unless someone backs ou.

Max_Spd 08-15-06 09:05 PM

So how many more are needed to have Steve stay one more day, Sunday...???

3000ways2break 08-15-06 11:01 PM

bump

NSXchink 08-15-06 11:04 PM

so can we make a deposit for a slot, or no more?

Scrub 08-15-06 11:31 PM

at this point I don't think it's gonna be possible to tune on sunday unless we do street tuning. CarV2 isn't opened on sunday and Steve already booked his flght. Sunday was supposed to be our day to chill, but I think he'd rather have money. I'll talk to him and see if he'd be up for more tuning. But if I had to guess I'd say probably two or three more cars to make it worth while for him. Steves flight leaves from PHL at 6:30 I think on sunday.

So far we have seven cars for saturday, and believe me thats gonna be plenty of work.

NSXchink 08-15-06 11:51 PM

LOL ... "I don't mind" "please put me in for the 27th"

Glad to see you don't, unfortunately it is Steve's personal time and CarVersion2's business.

i thought it woud be just steve's personal time, since carversion2 will not be open on sunday

turbodrx7 08-16-06 10:43 AM

It pretty much will be steves personal time. I dont know if steve really wants to tune on sunday also. 7 cars on saturday is ALOT of tuning. As dan said...you are going to need to probably find 3-4 cars to get done sunday..for it to make it worth. Otherwise...your best bet would be to show up and hope that steve might have time on saturday...as if someones car doesnt get finished...Looking foward to hanging out and seeing some cars put down some nice numbers...Off subject but I saw you in Bel air Yesterday Bob. Rolling up to the 24-22 light..i was in my jeep and was flying around trying to catch you hahaha. But you disapeerd(sp)

AMRAAM4 08-16-06 11:08 AM

I was putting some mileage on the car after getting gas. I ended up going up through the bypass, getting on Rt 1, then taking that out over the Conowingo dam. Turned around and came back to 136 and shot down that over to my house. i like cruising around in northern MD int he evening. Not so much traffic and it's nice country roads. It's been my area to put almost 300 miles on the car in the last 2 weeks.

So, did the car stand out on the road? :D Whenever I drive I am always looking around and watching people's faces as I drive by LOL .

So far I have deposits from:
AMRAAM4 ($100)
JLee ($100
FDkid ($100)
Brians FC ($100)
93VRRex ($100)

So we have enough people for Steve to come out, but to make it worth his while we could use at least two more cars. If I get more then two more cars then we'll be looking at two days for tuning.

what ever happened to this?
i was mislead by this,
thats why i didn't think it would be a problem depositing to the end...

Nope...that Bright blue and massive intercooler didnt do much. LOL but it looked amazing...we thought you were breaking it in...but then we lost you.

If you read in the beginning and throughout I've said GET YOUR DEPOSIT IN to insure a spot. I can't always promise somthing that isn't mine to give(someone elses time). CarV2 won't be opened on sunday and no amount of money will make them. But I'll call Steve like I said I would and ask him. This thread has been for quite some time, and I've talked to you a few times....why would you wait till the list minute to get your deposit?

Max_Spd 08-16-06 02:49 PM

Yeah, I personally waited cuz I'm not sure if I will have everything I need done before the need for the tune...I hesitated...but what is the likelyhood of Steve coming back in the area in a week or two, how many cars do we need to make this happen?

Thanks...

turbodrx7 08-16-06 03:01 PM

A week or 2? .01%... He usual comes out every 3-4 months. So 3 times a year. Youll have to wait for the word if steve will tune on sunday or not. But if its you and Nsx..mabye you will get lucky and have 1 or 2 more guys chime in and steve would feel 4 cars would be worth his while. Good luck. Looking foward to seeing everyone there..

hahaha, in a week or two? He's gotta come from Texas and he's veeeeery busy. To get him to come back anytime soon we'd need at least another six cars. Like I said I'll call Steve and see if he wants to street tune on sunday.

i appreciate you trying to set up this tuning session.
but i took as there is going to be 2 days of tuning, which i thought i could give myself some time to make a deposit.

im trying to get some stuff in for it to be ready for the tuning session, so that's why i was hesitating lke Max_Spd

but please let me know, maybe he will have some time to squeeze in a 8th car :)

i heard street tune is better tha a dyno tune because your actually driving the car, but of course they already have had a big debate about that...

turbodrx7 08-16-06 05:00 PM

Like i said NSX..mabye make the trip and hope steve has a little bit of time to get you in.
