Steve Kan NYC Tuning Session:
Steve Kan NYC Tuning Session:
I'm going to be hosting Steve Kan for tuning the second weekend of July 2006 at T&R Racing in queens NY. He will be able to tune just about any ecu and any type of setup. Later this week I will be posting the amount of $$ that will be needed for this event to take place per person/car. This will be taking place on a saturday/sunday. To make this happen I need to book a minimum of 7 cars for the dyno sesison..
Anyone who is interested in having Steve Kan tune their car please leave the following info..

Ernie, because Steve Kan is great tuner and friend, plus its a good opportunity for T&R to get some exposure with their new dyno. Ladies and Gents I'm waiting on some info about what exactly it's going to cost for Steve to tune your car, dyno time plus everyone has to chip in to cover Steve's flight from Tx. Once I know some figures and post them anyone who is interested will need to make a deposit for a slot...

Steves' tuning fee will be $350 a car and dynojet fee's will be $150 1st hour $125 every hour after that with dynojet wideband. Kan behind the laptop I doubt you'll need more then 1hour, unless you have problems or just a heavy duty setup with alot of options. Everyone has plenty of time to get their setups up to par. 2nd weekend in July looks like will be our date. Tony and I will be setting up some type of snack bar with drinks coffee etc. Any question either post here or PMME...
***Pricing***
Steve Kan: $350 flat fee..
Dyno: $150 1st hour, $125 every hour after..
Deposits will need to be taken to confirm we have people interested so we dont waste Kans' time.
"example: Total for one hour of tuning with Kan will be ($500)"
So I would need $250 deposit from each car..
ECU's Steve Kan can tune:
Power FC
Tec3
AEM
Haltec
Microtech
Wolf 3d
Autronic
Hondata
If you have laptop software for your particular ECU bring it with you just incase Steve doesn't have it with him at the time..

oh yeah,
i'd like my car to be street tuned and not tuned on the dyno since the majority of the issues i have are with driveability. i don't mind doing a few dyno pulls, but i'd rather work out the jerkiness at part throttle applications.

I had my car tuned by steve kan last april on long island. after the tune my car didnt run smoothly on part throttle. therefore next time he comes around i would like him to fix it. So....i will show up so he can clean this up for me. It shou8ld only take a couple minutes since the stuttering also occurs when in nuetral and holding the revs constant just like when cruising partial thottle.

mine was right after the tune also. i think it has to do with only having a dyno tune instead of finishing up on the street for driveability. plus, my idle is waaaaayyyy rich. i'm sure i've killed all the bugs within a quarter mile of my house plus most small animals within 100 yards. it makes your eyes tear up.

I'll also be there to hang out and will bring my new shiny mazda digital rotary compression checker with me. $50 a pop, and I'll even put new plugs in for you if you supply the plugs

oooooooo yeah. I just dropped my car off at T&R today to get my motor rebiult and probably ported. I was talking to some of the guys in there about getting a power fc to run on an s4 motor. I'm deffinetly gonna be there just to see what kind of power guys are making. If i can get a standalone in my car by that time i'll be tottally in. On another note though does anyone know where i can get a step down for the power fc that will allow me to run it through an s4ecu. I'm interested because i can get pfc's for so much cheaper than haltechs but if it aint worth it I wont bother.

If I lived closer I would be the first on line for my compression check with cash in hand....
