I had heard a lot of good things about Spec which is why I decided to give them a shot in the first place. Many of the STI / EVO guys swear by them. I know a lot of other FD owners who liked them as well. I'd guess that mine was just a POS but given the circumstances and my dealings with Spec corporate in general I'll never purchase anything from them again. While they did eventually give me a refund they should have doubled it for the amount of time I had to waste hounding them and convincing them of certain things.

Matt unless your plug wires are damaged there is most likely no need to replace them.

Ok so then I should go and get me some NGK plugs? How can I tell if the wires are still good? I assume a resistance (Ohm) test is in order. Where should the readings be?

FD3BOOST, what were you telling me about not having to gap the plugs? or having plugs with no gap? I vaguely remember that, I was kinda drunk when u told me this though.

I think your better off with PFSupercars as far as that trans goes.

Matt, all you need to do to inspect the wires is to just look them over for any breaks or damage to the insulation. Rotary plugs ( at least with my RX7 and my short lived REPU) do not need to be gapped. YOu might want to run a search in the 2nd gen forums to see what is commonly used though. Most times you can get the part number so you know exactly what to ask fro when you call Napa or whatever store you go to.

The recent developement with Ray is that he has three broken transmissions. He said he may be able to make one good one out of that but he won't know that for a couple of days. And even with that deal it will probbly cost more that way. He told me i would be better off sorcing one myself because his way was going to get expencive.

I think my next plan of action is to have mine rebuilt by someone under the table. I know the guy and he has done some awesome stuff for camaros, road runners, and lots of RWD trannys. Hopfully ill get the car all put back together with the rebuilt tranny, act street strip clutch ( thanks jsplit ), and a SS clutch line by next weekend.

Did Ray give you an estimate to rebuild yours? The only other person I would trust would be Fritz Flynn. Maybe try to PM him about getting a used trans. Or maybe try mazdarecycling.com. You need to call them though. Their website is a joke.

I saw a really pretty blue FD on Billingsley road yesterday around 500pm. Are you on here??? Also had a FMIC, and smoked turn signals.

This thread has gotten increadibly slow and mildly serious, what gives?

DC: it's time for randomness, that or we can should start bickering about something nonsensically

So I saw the Supra, good grief that thing is silly. Has like 440 rwhp, still a few small issues but that thing pulls like a beast. Even the auto trans shifts like a beast and shifts relaly ****** fast. Ray had that thing breaking loose at 60 mph on the shift into second

Now I'm like 90% sure I need to have it...

Hey Jon, what are you doing chasing Porsche's on the Wilson Bridge goin to VA??? Don't you know they're faster than you? Unless it was a 944. Then my Civic Hybrid might have a chance...

It was a Carerra 4, and he wasn't faster than me
Not many porsches are actually. That dood came flying up so I decided to jump on and tail him to play for a bit.

Worse yet some R32 was being gay on the way home on 301. He lingered beside me blowing off every few feet for about 1/2 a mile till I got annoyed and had to start the honking process. Needless to say he died quickly too...

Just because you have not had one beat up on you yet. GT3's will lay the smack down on your car. You need to remember that most people who can afford to own a Porsche are not going to be looking for a race.

We are going to get some snow tomorrow.

A guy in my band was behind you in his Jetta, saw your car and thought it was me leaving the base. He's like, "Dude, that's not you in front of me??? How many RX 7's are there that are blue and actually running???" Dick.
He told me what wheels you had, so I thought it was you.
Are those R32's quick? I guess people will start modding them too if they haven't already.

They are fast but you can get an Evo or Lancer for a lot cheaper and end up with basically the same performance.

R32's are pretty noice. Nice handling car it seems, but not a straight line monster like a V8 or FD.

Some guy came into work yesterday with a b18 swapped civic, with a HUGE fmic, and he just recently had it dynoed at 424fwhp@15psi. I can't really say I believe it or not, but he beat the dog **** out of it on the way out, and it was pretty quick. Oh, and it had no bodykit!!! Straight up sleeper!

I'll be there if the snow in my driveway melts. I'm not shoveling 9-12 inches to drive the 7. I can just roll my 4X4 Escape out the garage though.

**** as far as I am concerned we don't even need to bring the cars. I'll take my truck if it comes down to it.

They are decent, not much of a match but it was quicker than I gave it credit for...

It's supposed to be in the 50's late this week so I'd guess most everything will melt.
