South Jersey/Tri-State guys, quick question..

I don't know if any of you have been following my thread in the 3rd Gen section (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...1#post7654329), however I am looking into buying an rx7. If you read the thread above you can get basically all of the details. I already checked the car out myself, and called the gentleman to find out details about the car. I am going to call him back today to hopefully set up an appointment tomorrow (Sunday, December 23rd) to start the car, and have it checked out by a rx7 specialty shop, or someone in the area that specializes in rx7's.

My question to you guy's is if anyone knew of a CLOSE shop or knowledgeable person I could go to, to have the car checked out real quick. I really don't want to travel anymore than 15-20 minutes with the car to the shop. I know there is JPR Imports somewhere in south jersey, but I don't know where relative to the car's location (If you know south jersey the car is about 5 minutes away from Cherry Hill east high school). Any idea's?

Thanks guys.

-Nick

Anyone know if Jim from JPR is closed for the whole week (or just the day after Chirstmas)? I called a couple times with no answer since the 24th. Wasn't expecting anything until today. Left a message this morning, hoping to get a call back soon.

Thanks. I gave him a ring at about ten of 11am (December 26th) so maybe I'll give him a shout again this afternoon. I just don't want to keep the owner of the car waiting too long, and I really want Jim to do the inspection. Thanks again.

Just got in touch with Jim at JPR. To any of you guys that don't know him, he sounds like a really nice guy. He hooked me up with one of his buddies who is going to come pick the car up, take it to the shop, and then bring the car to either my house if it checks out okay, or back to the owner if it doesn't. So hopefully after tomorrow the car will be mine. Thanks for help guys.

So I was out all day today with the car. Last night I picked up the keys from the owner. A buddy of Jim's at JPR (Derek) came this morning and picked up the car. He towed it all the way to Jim's shop (because it had no insurance or tags). Took Jim about 45 minutes to look over/test drive the car. For any of you guys that don't know Jim, he is a very nice, down to earth guy. His best interest was car, and making sure I wasn't going to get ripped off. He looked at every single detail even to the point where it might need an oil change. He also gave me all the things he would recommend me doing to the car. He is an awesome guy (along with his friend) and I will def. be using him in the future. Jim said at the price I as getting the car this was a "homerun" and that even with the little things wrong with it, I should absolutely buy it.

I would recommend Jim to anyone I know with an rx7, or rotary, and if I didn't then why would I take my car back to him ya know.. I wound up buying that car and I plan to be taking to Jim in the near future.
