There are probably more soldiers on ft hood in TX than the whole Corps...anyway bro every city has a ghetto every ghetto has a hood...its not kool to talk about what you've been through I am glad I wasn't one of those who got caught up in the BS with sellin and juvey and gettin bitches pregnant at a young age. I actually work at the detention center here I love it man some of these kids here are good kids man, I am glad to be able to be an example and help them out with my life experiences.

Yea i'm 25 man. I work with a guy form NY who was in the Skulls he turned his life around man big time he is 51. That is probably the hardest ************ I know. any how bro I've been to NY I have friends from NY brooklyn actually he went to school at canarsie...I don't stereo type anyone as stated a joke is a joke. back in the day peeps always acted like being from NY was supposed to scare others hehe, I really didn't give a **** as long as I wasn't fucked with.

So why did you move to FL? Where in FL are you? I have an uncle in Tampa.

The skulls... as in the Savage Skulls... yeah i remember .. I turned my life around too.. I left all that behind and did 6 calendar years behind the walls... it was time to reflect and then one day out in the world someone i use to run with back in the day had spoken to me about Christ and my life changed. I now run a ministry as a minister called "The Huddle" made of men wearing jeans and throw back jerseys and we go into the different hoods.. not to condemn.. or to convert but just to let people know that there is an alternative.. I have been involved in Prison Ministry also and when i did my spread i was in the Law Library working the appeals for the guys who were indigent... It was about cigs but i just told them to keep it.. In the 6 years that i was in I got to meet a lot of good people... fellow gang members i used to run with and learned about what true respect was all about. I am a professional speaker and minister ... I get such a kick when i speak to the kids... let them know that we as parents understand what they go thru... we went thru with it also... pro keds and pro kans.. one stripe or two... the styles might have been different but we all go thru the same ****... the same pressures except nowadays kids got cell phones.

Anyway... that is a good thing you do working in the detention center.. it gives you an insight as to what life on the streets was like seeing it from their perspective... we have to be thankful to God to have what we have and how fortunate we really are to have the comforts that we have... I have to second the comment about Bensonhurst not being a bad area.

My Dad lives there with my 2 Brothers and my sister. None of them ever had any problems.
I remember as a kid crusing on sat night under the "EL" in my old 240Z those were the days.
I hear now that the cops break it up real fast if they see you more than twice.

I would love to go to L&B spumoni gardens for some pizza......

I used to drive a 1970 240 Z... and my 260Z had Louvers on the back window.. and then i took the engine out and put a 350 cu V8... man that was something... i even had the 280Z and in 1998 I bought a 1990 300 ZX...
I used to go to a place in Corona.. The Lemon Ice King of Corona for some italian ices.. right by Spaghetti Park.. man those were the days.... anybody go the USA roller skating rink ? when you guys get together make sure you take plenty of pics... just watch for the potholes.

yea man I hear you I was involved with the Young Marines in Virginia Beach for about a year and a half. I was a drill instructor and mentor. I loved it man. I moved back to PA and decided to give it a shot at the detention center. I love that place. we have a lot of kids that go through crazy **** man...I mean crazy...but we are there for them to help them be a better person if they choose to listen to our advice and examples.

YO when ever you go to any hood you have to go with the idea that everyone will always show you love. I lived in EAST NEW YORK for 10 years kid. Never had any serious altercations. I live in queens now, and there worst **** that happens here becuase of the fake ****** thinking that there down or wanting to be down. I go to school in HARLEM, 138th street and convent ave, i feel more safe here than anywhere else. I am the whitest spanish person you ever seen and i stroll round here like its nothing speaking the way i always do and never got into no problems. THe thing is people can tell when you scared and its fun to **** with someone when they look shook. So just be cool and do your thang dont worry about this is a "bad hood" etc.

I think that ppl is hoods dont want to bring certain type of attention so they keep it to themselves while the herbs in other hoods try to act all hard wind up doing the worst damage to ppl.

Well to be honest i am hispanic but i look white. Like i dont look spanish at all. lol But i carry myself a certain way i guess. Yo i never got to problems in Harlem or Washington Heights. I like these hoods they have more character and its fun to be in and around them. SOme crazy stuff does happen.

I was in the Queens Bridge Projects, was going to my boys house over there to pick up some notes for school, yeah i got to City College of NY i am studying Civil Engineering, and i went with this indian kid. ANd when we was walking thru the projects someone was popping off and this ***** was laying on the floor . I was laughing my ballz off. I was like common dude lets go. And he wouldnt go any further, and he was complaining so much that he was bringing more attention to us. So i took him back to the car and told him to wait. On the way back he was asking me , "hey , why do BLACK people walk like this and say yo yo my niggar" I was like yo stfu right now before we get shot lol. Some ppl just cant handle it , there tooo stigmatized about stereotypes. Even though stereo types have truth to them, dont let them get the best of you. So any ways what bout this meet lol
