Bump for my hommies event !

hope to see some old rotary faces. I am currently working on a connection for Urban Latino Magazine to come out to cover event and a local newspaper.It will be a fun day for the Community and happy to be a part of it.

How is the parking going to be around there?

 

Im Whipping up the Directions for the Caravan..... Im probably go to lead the NJ caravan since most of the people aren't familiar with New york. and Omar will probably head over with the NY caravan.

The route Im looking at avoids manhattan but add's a extra toll... I figure for the sake of good road's it might be worth the extra toll...

we tried to get the street closed but It was too short notice....
So Our street team (AKA Omar lol) is going out early on sunday to lay some cones down.

We Stop by 5 pointz last tuesday and spoke to the guys there again,
They agreed that if more car come then expected the'll open up the parking lot in the back.

The shot in my sig shows where we'll be parking... Pretty much along the side of the building.




Since its on a sunday its perfect because all the local business are closed so street parking shouldn't be a problem.

The other exciting news
5pointz is having "Meeting Of Styles" this Weekend. Which is a event where artist, hand picked from around the world come in to laydown some sick works of art. It starts from 10am to 8pm Sat and Sun. They have been covering up some of the old pieces just to make room for the new one's. So there should be alot of new art to see on the 26th

 

ooooh 11 hour drive. sounds like a cool event. Is there a preferred hotel or something set up for security of the cars for over night travel?

I also stopped by 5pointz this past weekend for that Meeting of styles event..... There's some sick stuff to look forward to

 

I wouldn't recommend anything around LIC...way too expensive. Take the 30 min trip east and get a hotel in North East Queens or the Long Island area (about $100 a night give or take). Bayside or North East Queens is pretty safe and is only about 25 min away from 5 Points. It would probably be the best meeting spot considering Omar is coming from the Bronx and would have to take the Throgs Neck or Whitestone. Both the Whitestone and Throgs Neck lead into Bayside. Only downfall is you'll have to deal with the 111th precinct which are a bunch of ball busters. Great to keep your car secure but bad when it comes to tickets. I would recommend the Adria Hotel on Northern Blvd. The night life on Bell Blvd is pretty busy which is about 5 min by car or 30 min to NYC via the Long Island Railroad. PM me if you have any questions.

 

I would suggest he take a cab to bell blvd if he wants to hang out, parking there is terrible and at least he can have a few drinks
