VA shop first to win review VA

so this will be a on going review so dont worry if it dose not seem finished...

So i was having alot of problems fixing up my car but the biggest problem is the loss of my parts car. So it came down to the time to bring my baby to the shop! so i go to drop her off on a trailer and i get there and the first thing that happens is some one is out side greeting me and says put it as close to the door as you can. at this time i am thinking... "what a dick." as he heads to the door in about 3 seconds theirs about every worker out side ready to push the car into the shop.... re thought "ok.... this is new!" so we get in the shop with the car and i am still having my doubts this shop being open for 6 months and what not... so i ask the two guys standing there if they know any thing about rotorys and they shake there head they say "not much" and they bring out this other guy and he leans over the car and looks at the engine and grins a bit. i find out this guy has been working on mazda cars for about 30 years ... before pay is talked about he is pulling my spark plugs and cranks the engine and says... shes got life in her! and starts looking at things around the engine bay checking wiring and what not.so i leave my car with some doubts about the car shop... so i give them a call today and i find out they put quite a few hours into looking at the car and testing things and seeing what is going on with it.... over a day so they said they would charge me for 1 hour the day i got there then they said well we need 3 more hours of diag time so im like you know what... what the hell and this is after the fact we talked about the wiring being messed up among other things for engine harness. (the starter harness was chopped to parts so i replaced it did-int know much about the engine harness. so im still waiting for a reply back to see how much i get raped for what has to be done.... but the good part is they charge 90 for there labor so its not to bad :P

if you have questions you would like to ask about the shop i am more then welcomed to ask them or test things out with them so feel free to ask a reg guy just trying to get by :P I will keep you all updated but so far i do like **** shop!

That's great man! I hope they do a better job than I did and figure it out. You need to get out and enjoy that car.

I have heard of this shop. They order parts from me at Malloy Mazda. From word of mouth they are a newly opened shop with some smart guys working there. I do not have first hand experience though.

Many many many moons ago, I let a Mazda tech with about 20 years of experience work on my car, one of the worst decision of I ever made. Whats the name of the tech?

I think his name is Steve, not positive though. He used to race RX-3's in the day and some other rotary cars. Most of the guys that work there came from chantilly Mazda. I suggested the name " for the win" as the shop name to my friend, he changed it to "first to win". Opening the shop was my friends idea, although I don't know if he is still there. As far as I know in general they are all great mechanics. I'm sure your car is in good hands!

You purposely disconnected components on your car to see if a shop would catch it? Seriously? Sorry bud, but IMO that's pretty retarded.
