RX- Storm?????

i was just thinking of putting a rotary into a geo storm... I know it will be alot of work but.. the storm is so much smaller and lighter.. slapping in a S5 engine or even a S4 would be great..

I know its a front wheel drive car.. what are the go abouts of changing it to a rear wheel drive? i know i would need the trans and the engine.. but what else is there?

um....miata.....to me the geo storm idea sounds like a HUGE waste of time and money, with not that great of a benefit out of it.

Go solid rear axle to save on complications of suspension geometry... There should be a tunnel in which they run the exhaust... Run your driveshaft that way. Then put the exhaust under it, or you could side pipe it.

Weld up your own crossmember with engine and tranny mounts... Sounds like a very intricate and expensive project.

You'd think I would be the first person to agree with a motor swap. But dude, a Storm? I don't know the curb weight, but I can't see it being significantly lighter. Why not just buy an FB if your FC isn't light enough? It would be a LOT less work. Not to say you can't or shouldn't do what you want... it's just that.. dude, it's a Storm

Storm isnt worth it. Just because something is lighter doesnt make it better

If you want to have an ubersleeper, cram it in a 323, not a storm.

It actually shouldn't be that hard.... The driveshaft tunnel is already there, and there are also rear differentials and driveshafts available.... They made an AWD version...

yeah i was looking on egay for some geo's and they look ok for short people..

the thing is that i want to keep a 2 door car.. i'm not sure if they even came out with a 323 2door..

for less work it would be a hell of alot easier to get a FB and slap in a 13B.. that i'm getting from eightman..

Rotary in a Geo Storm = the Rotary being the most reliable thing on that chasis.

Isn't it an Isuzu Impulse? I thought Isuzu was fairly reliable...
