Yeah Dave, I remember that year... it was a great meet. I think that's the year I fell in love with your mazdaspeed hood... You should definately come out to the event this year!

If I don't get there this year it is because I have the car taken apart. I will definitely be making the rounds as soon as it is done. I'm guessing it will take me about a month to get the paint wrapped up. Then re-install engine and run it up to PFS for a tune. I hope to have it ready to drive around September/October.

What kind of things happen at the meet? Racing, competitions??

Both Racing and show competition... show for each Gen of car and Drag had a few brackets and street class (but only rotary's can enter and race)

Last year we set one up, it turned out to be more of a hassle since people showed up late to meet up, then left late and trying to meet with another group did not work out half way. But I am sure something will be set up once it gets closer.

 

Im working so hard to prepare my car i hope i make it.

It's getting closer!!! I have all my gaskets and am starting to assemble the accessories. I need to get a friend down here to paint my engine bay and then I make an engine harness. Cross fingers!

Either way, I'll be there to spectate. It's so much fun! Maybe I can convince my parent's to let me bring their 13x13 pop up tent. Some other people had them. Last year I used sunblock and still got burned.

 

My 1990 GXL won't be ready by then, so I'll be rolling my near stock RX8. Still looking forward to it!

What time does racing start? and is it all bracket racing or is there open racing for people not participating in the different race classes?
