The show was cool, but the racing was a little disappointing. I heard a bunch of misshifts and it seemed like some people were having problems with their cars. There was a black FD that was fast but seemed to be having some problems or just not going all out. One run I think he missed third and still ran a 12.5x ! And how about that red FB (bridgeported?) that was the loudest 7 there - I think his best run was low-mid 13s. Didn't seem to be running very smooth. Also, I was looking forward to seeing that black drag 7 run, but never did. I left around 5:30, does anyone know if it went down the track? It was my first rotorfest - lot's of cool cars, first time ive seen an RX2 and 4 in person. hopefully I'll have my car done next year.

it was a beautiful car, i cant wait to see it in action either, but if you looked closely at it on the trailer, it was still a work in progress. no ecu, engine wire harness. downpipe and wheelie bar were in the tow vehicle ect...

i don't think i talked to jim himself about it, but i think it was someone who helped him bring it there, and seemed to be good friends with him.
he said they had just gotten the car back from the chassis guy, who took longer than expected to finish it up. i think he said something about the transmission tunnel just getting finished, and having a few more things that needed to get finished before it could be raced. i'm not sure but i think he said something about putting a five speed in, but i can't really recall...i was pretty excited to see a car like that. whoever i was talking to said that it should run low 9's but hopefully get into 8's. i asked what kind of porting was done on the motor and he said it was just an aggressive streetport. here's a few pics i snapped of it.

Anyone else find the prices of food/drinks really stupid? Why not make it easy and make things 1.50, 2.00, 2.50 whatever. Instead prices were like 1.69 and 2.17 WTF?! No wonder they had problems making change...

hahhahaha, that was so dumb, also, noticed how the prices got bumped up? A damn little bottle of water was $1.59 which was bumped to $2.12 or some ****, a cup of water, literally. Rip-offs...
