Rotary's in de!!!
HEY all fellow RX7 owners in Delaware, i am trying to establish a RX7 or Rotary appreciation club here in this little lonely state. Monthly meets, drives, swap meets, ect. My basic goal is to get an established local connection so that its not so "scary" being the only guy/gal in your neighborhood with a FB/FC/FD, or any other Rotary powered vehicle. I can tell you as a avid car guy, this is my first RX7 and its a little scary owning one with all the hype on these cars, even with this site and others. If interested, leave a response below and if enough people show interest, then maybe we can further discuss a meet!!

I lived in Wilmington my whole life left, in 02 for the Army got back last year. I live in Bear now and work in Wilmington. If you seen a lil silver SA22C that was me. I am taking my car to rockford park this week to get pictures of it with the leaves falling with the water tower as a backdrop. Feel free to join me if you like. I havent set a date but it has to be before next tuesday as the leaves should be all gone by then
As far as members, we have a guy up on 202, another guy down by the beaches and as far as I know thats it. There are other RX7 owners around but I dont think they are online. We also have a swap expert in St Georges if you are headed that way (like me)
If you would prefer a cars and coffee type thing, I was thinking dunkin donuts on kirkwood or starbucks a block away from that. There is a honda tuners club a few houses down from me so Id love to get a few sevens together and rip them a new A-hole (my car is faster by far then any of theirs)

Hey guys, I've spoken with jmac a few times and kinda helped him with his FC. Dream, I think I have your number but I have been so busy I havent had time to try and get together. If you guys are around the wilmington area, we have a car meet every wednesday night at 9PM at the Giant supermarket on 202. There is also the 95 rest stop meet friday nights at 9PM as well. I am at the 202 every wednesday since it's only about 5 minutes from my house. its only 5-10 guys who just shoot the ****, and the occasional race. 95 I go maybe once a month, and thats where all the races are at, and tons of hondas, as well as some subies, evos, mustangs, camaros vettes etc.
I know of a few other guys in the area. what about making a DE rotaries page on Facebook? the mazdaspeed3 guys have one which is a pretty good idea.

As soon as i put this post up, i've had some catastrophic failures with my FC. I can't figure out what the problem is and if anybody can lend some know how and possibly get me back on the road, it would be much appreciated. I replaced the thermostat and gasket, but im losing coolant somehow and i can't figure it. I know i have a leak, my coolant reservoir is bubbling.

Bubbling is usually blow coolant seals. Does it overheat now?

Its not champagne bubbling, its like boiling bubbling. and no smoke is present at anytime while running. No gas smell in my coolant either.

To the original question, I'm located in Elkton MD near Newark DE, my '89T2 is my avatar picture.
On the coolant loss question, is it overheating & boiling over? If you let it cool off, top off the radiator and then let it run, how long will it run before it boils over again?
If a coolant seal in the keg let loose, you normally will have some white smoke in the exhaust when it runs, and even if it doesn't smoke all that much, the exhaust will have a syrupy sweet smell to it - that's the antifreeze burning off.

I went to the truck stop thingy last night. Seen a few cars but had to leave early. Next Friday ill go there with the seven and stay a while. I'm not interested in racing or most other cars. I am only wanting to see more rx7's out there.

Mr. Scrubby McBubbles and his sidekick Peppy Lopez live in Willytown.... we often have rotary gatherings at his casa in the Wildhood before our track weekends at NJMP. Usually 4-6 FDs parked out front

Time for an update!!!
I know its been a long time since i posted anything and seeing as I originated this post... It would be kind of weird if i never said anything. But my 87 FC is down, she needs a rebuild because the coolant seals went bad. So i'm Purchasing the Atkins Master Rebuild kit for the 13b n/a and she'll be back on the road sometime in the late summer/early fall. I need help though, its not gonna be easy and this is my first time around on this. I'll be rebuilding it at a buddy's shop in the outskirts of Newark, Barbour automotive. Its located right down the street from the new WAWA they built on 273 next to Toyota World. I'm more than willing to pay anyone for their time. And any advice, tips, tools would be much appreciated. Anyone that gets their hands and minds into the build, will have a special spot on the car, of their choosing. Come repaint time you'll understand. I'm gonna be getting the beauty sponsored and she'll be seeing track time with the local Philly Region SCCA. and affiliates. And of course I'll be organizing Meet and Greets, Swap-meets, Cruises, ect. once I'm on the road again. I love RX's in all shapes and forms and I can't believe the community that comes with the ownership of one of these fine automobiles. Thanks agian everyone

I have a fairly nasty 3rd gen. Had it for 12+yrs. I would like to go to a 7 meet in the de area. My car doesn't get out much anymore. (Wife, kid, job) lol. I live just over the del mem br in jersey, but the car, when it gets out, usually always ends up over in Delaware. Unfortunately the car is for sale, time for another project.
