The idea is to invade a friday night test n tune at a drag strip somewhere in southern VA. The event would be purely for fun.

Format would be each race is worth 1pt for your team. Team with the most points at the end of the night wins.

This is just to see how many would be interested in attending to see whether its worth my time to find a venue and figure out a date.

Zumspd just PMd me asking if I wanted to do something like this next Spring. He should be putting out about the same power as me. I've got an LS1, JTR long tubes, and a ported MAF ~330whp. We'll probably be doing more than just drag racing, since neither of us are really interested in that straight line stuff. We'd probably do an autocross and a track day and throw both cars on the scales. We'll do it just like SCC too...one of us will be on far better tires and then we'll speculate that the other would've, should've, could've won.

 

Ideally thats what id like to do too. The problem is, then id also have to find a spot to do an auto-x. Im going to be talking to some of the Porsche guys as well as WRX's, Evo's and a few other groups. If i have enough interest then we'll go from there with anything other than just the invasion of a T'n'T night.


You forgot, one of the cars has to only be halfway ready as well.
