Rotary owners in Ohio, plz help
Hello,
I have an '86 FC that I've had some trouble getting to start and run since early last year (2024). On the off occasion, it does start, it usually requires me to disconnect the fuel pump, then quickly reconnect it, then after a couple of minutes the engine dies again. Anyways, the main purpose for this post is to ask if anyone in the northern Ohio area (Cleveland) is willing to properly compression test my engine. Of course there will be compensation. Some key information about the car, I bought in 2021 with about 84xxx on the clock and have since then gotten it to 88xxx. The engine is relatively stock until I recently tried independently diagnosing the issue myself, and have done a smog delete and omp delete. Shes my first car and id like to get to enjoy her again this summer. Any help is greatly appreciated and I hope to meet some fellow rotary owners, expand my knowledge on them, and make friends! May you all have a blessed day!

Any mechanic can do a compression test. Will it be a rotary tester? No it won't but if you hold the bottom, look for three even pulses.
I am two hours away, otherwise I would help. I have feeling the compression might be ok though.

yeah I did a quick compression test with a regular tester and the front rotor seemed to only have high compression on one rotor phase, the reason I'm asking for a hand is because I don't have a rotary specific comp
