Well I get my fin aid check in 2 days ago, call him, and we arrange that the car is sold to me and I will get the title on friday.

Now, it just got sold to someone, probably on here, who wanted to pay more, and the seller didn't even let me know.

So, I just wanted to give a big FUCK YOU to the buyer.

Well it wasn't 06vmi06 that bought it, he decided against it, it wasn't me either, and no one on here has said they bought so I'm guessing it was bought by someone who saw the craigslist listing.
You might wanna reserve that FU for the seller and not the buyer, how does he know you been after it for 8 months. (you couldn't come up with a grand in 8 months?) and it's not like you let us know that you were after it either.
You should have put some money down on it even if it was a $100 just so the seller knows your serious.

Actually, I meant to put to the seller, not the buyer. I can completely understand a buyer bidding a higher price than another in order to win an item, but what bothered me is how the seller swore up and down it was a sealed deal.

First off, I don't need to explain to you anything regarding my finances.

But, if it'll put a big smile on your face, I wasn't able to come up with that money for several reasons. If you have a close family member thats not in good health, then you just MIGHT understand.

Anyway, I decided to check out russels for a couple things. Anyone know what time they're open tomorrow?

That's your own personal business, but you're not the only one with stuff to contend with.
That aside if for whatever reason you can't come up with the money and someone else can in a short period of time, I can see why the seller made his decision.
After the experiences I had selling the FD and the S14 I won't be trusting anyone or holding a car till I see a deposit.

Just left you a VM, I'll be at West End tonight, a touch after 8p.

Of course I don't have tires with me tonight, since I thought this was going down tomorrow. I guess you'll just have to bring it upon yourself to drive out to the East End (horror of horrors!)

I'll be working, per usual. Race car is shot until I get around to re-ringing it, so no fun stuff for me :(

So what's the deal with the Mazda Dealership??

I went up there this morning to order some pretty common gaskets (lower intake, water pump housing, etc.), and the guy at the parts counter told me parts had been archived, as he was not able to look up price and availability. Hell, I even made it easy for him by bringing in a list of part numbers. WTF?

Anyhoo, important lesson re-learned today- stealerships suck.

Also CAP update- went up there yesterday. No FCs.

niburu 11-19-07 03:06 PM

try Malloy Mazda, there parts department actually stocks all sorts of older Miata and RX-7 parts

also there will be another Cap Ale outing tomorrow night, as I do not have the kid

With a wider IC core, you could drop it more level (better hood clearance) and route the IN/OUT down the sides of the radiator, instead of over the top.

-Jayson

grendel_2000 11-26-07 04:49 PM

The hood clearance is actually perfect, (1"-2"). plus this way i can match the sides of the intercooler and radiator for sealing purposes. And its as big an intercooler as i think is necessary. maybe not. i guess once it blows up i will know

MFP10thAnn 11-26-07 05:38 PM

Who is that dapper guy in the pics? Oh wait, that's me!

niburu 11-27-07 08:13 AM

Dec. 2, this sunday, VMP in Dinwiddie, last NASA autocross off the season.
Who else is going?

yusoslo 11-27-07 08:39 AM
