Hey guys. Just moved to Richmond. I'm looking for a good rotary shop. A place where I can get service and some mods done. I tried searching, but got a bunch of crap that wasn't what I was looking for. Besides- I'm really lazy. I have a '93 FD almost stock.
Thanks

I would say the closest reputable shops would be up in Northern Va. I think there are a few up there. Peter Ferrel being one of them, depending on who you talk to of course.

I did try one other logicon that I am pretty sure worked. I did not try either of the blower motors in another car to see if they work though.

Looks like it'll be a cool, crisp, and clear fall evening - at least according to national weather service

Anyone planning to do the Pumpkin Run this year? http://www.pumpkinrunrally.com/

A guy I work with organizes this thing. Incentive for me to finally get my damn car running. Would be cool to have a some rotaries involved.

Plus, it's for the kids (Toys for Tots)...

Why does it always have to be about rotaries?? What does everyone have against pistons?!

off the top of my head I can only think of Richard Mitchum of Mitchum Enterprises, 804-379-1239, if you're looking to put in a new rotary, if its a whole other type of engine don't know if he can help

yusoslo had a guy that sounded pretty good, you could PM him or wait till he chimes in

anyone else have anybody?

if you just want to swap motors quite a few of us are capable....but are you talking about a rebuild??

Clarify...cause if it is just a swap that is something most backyardmechanics can do.

Hey guys, I'm (still) trying to sell a rebuilt and streetported 12a w/ around 1k miles on it. It was built a couple years back by Chris Rogers out in VB. It was on my old project car, but the project car is no more. If someone in the area wants to make me a reasonable offer, I'll probably take it! I can also assist in delivery if need be, as long as it isn't too far away; I'm regularly back and forth between Chesapeake and Richmond.

Please PM me or e-mail me at rowelljl@vcu.edu if interested

Hello all. I can't believe this thread is still going on. It has been years. Some of you may remember me from years ago.

I have an FD that I have been trying to work on for several years now. I have most of the stuff to make this an awesome car. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to mess with it anymore. It is a '94 FD with T51KAI HKS turbo kit, V-mount, GAB shocks and much more all uninstalled. I would like to sell this car to someone locally. If anybody is interested, please pm me.

How's it going nowdays BJ? I see this chubby wannabee looking thug once a week in the East End near my house driving a very familiar looking Silver Audi. Usually very dirty, and with a big dent in the trunk. What's up with that???

Hey David, it has been forever! I came down years ago and bought those old VictoRacers from you. Funny thing - I actually had been holding onto them, only used them about 6 months ago.

yes yes. It is true. I sold the Audi to the chubby wanna be thug. I have seen him driving it once but was unaware of any damage to the car...that really sucks. I took damn good care of that car.

Well after multiple fall throughs of deals on FD's I have had it. I went out and bought a 2008 toyota tercel with the 100,000 mile warrenty. Sold the FC and the BMW 325is, figured it was the smart thing to do. I mean why buy a 94 RX-7 with 400hp for 15,000 when you can have a automatic, A/C Tercel for 17,500. know what I mean??

luckily for me that was a factory option. and under warranty!!!!

Yeah I am still looking but have found a few mildy modded FD's in the 10-12k range. I just know I will find the right one when the time comes, but having 14,000 in my pocket is burning one hell of a hole in it!!!!!!!!!

found a new motored R1 in mint contion w/ powerFC for 10,000
and a local black one 94 touring with new motor and FC for 12,000

so those are two options.
