More dates at both those sites depending upon how these first two go.
Still waiting to hear back from VMP as well.
Thanks,

Yeah I wouldn't call VMP dead yet, just has a gun pointed at its head with the finger on the trigger but it hasn't been pulled yet. I need to get to the GF's house so I can sign up for those events Jon just mentioned - damn firewall here at work and no interweb at the house yet.

Anything over 200rwhp on an NA and things are gonna start breaking.
The better (and hence more expensive way) is to do a full TII swap or if you have REALLY deep pockets drop an LS1 in there.

Does anyone have a spare rear end laying around? I need one of the differential mount studs. One of the three on my TII diff backed out during or before shipping.
OR
Does anyone have any idea how I can get one of these three out? I tried putting two nuts on the stud and tightening them up against each other, then backing it out, but that sucker is in there good.

What up peoples I am dropping my 88 N/A convertible motor would any body mind spending a day helping a kid out. I dont mind putting a lil cash out but I just need to speek to someone with experience. I would love to get my car the way I want it but its hard just reading books and ****. I would appreciate anyone who wants to help. Oh yeah I also read aaron cakes web page. Thanks alot dude it does not seem that hard to do. I will try just to be different. But I would not mind company while working and some extra hands and experience.

Guys, Just wanted to drop a line and intro myself.
I'm Jason and I live in Forrest Hill. Just bought my first RX about 2 wks ago and spent last weekend putting a clutch in it. It's my first RX so I'm slow and inept.
Saw some mention of track days and autoX. To compete in those events is a goal I hope to achieve with this car. It's not much now as it only has a 12A but I figure going fast will come with time.
A few questions:
Where can I find RX-7 parts at U-pull-it Junkyard around here? Is CAP my best bet or are there others where RX's are more plentiful?
Who should I buy parts from around here? Does anyone specialize in rotaries?
Are Honda's really faster than Mazda's? (kidding on that one)
Hope to see you guys around.
-Jason

Yay, another first gen owner! As far as junkyards, CAP has a black 81 12A I saw over there, its pretty much complete, but has some rust. My dad was telling me Brooke's auto or some place like that has a junkyard w/ rotaries. My dad also put my stepmoms dead fc out there. What part of Richmond are you in?

Thanks so much, man. I called him and he has several first gem parts cars out back. Do you know if I take the parts off myself with my tools, or what?

Hey guys , I dont post much here in the Richmond forum , but I thought I would stop in and say hi . I live in the tidewater area and have a shop behind my house , I dont do this full time , but I love to work and rebuild these damn rotories . I also have a small powder coating business and can do the smallest part up to a fairly good size pc . If anyone needs anything or price shopping , please send me a PM.
Thanks

I'll vouch of VaGambler.
I also have lots of FB parts for anyone looking. I have had the "opportunity" to part out several of them for various reasons. If you need something feel free to ask. I get up to autocrosses in Richmond from time to time and can bring stuff with me if you need anything. UPS is also pretty cheap from Suffolk to the Richmond area. I am about to disassemble another GSLSE, and I still have some stuff leftover from an 86 Sport model that had all the good stuff. I still have a set of the 10th anniversy rims, the rearend and complete rear suspension, the four struts, from subframe, passenger door, passenger side fender, a good solid straight shell, transmission. Lots of odds and ends. Prices are firesale reasonable.
