And yeah the original plan was 8.when the meets first started but them people decided 9 then 10. We had people showing up at 11 even. Lol

Damn I miss cherry valley. And that "casual drive" we used to do to get there. Lol.
Yeha man, aint no party like a polish party. lol. I know they had vodka... just did not know which one was which kind, you expect me to make 100 shots and remember which ones had what in them. Well, I keep those limited to my b-day cuz it cost money to throw and **** gets messed up. but I will be doing something again this year they get better and better every time man.

yes the "casual drive" is always fun. I even recall some casual 700+ hp cars hahaha. hope this year picks up and the meets get going good like they were two years ago.

Yeah people are jackasses out there man... glad you made it out and hope more cars come out next week, I am sure the rain made it a bit less empty.

and the meet used to be a rx8 meet that the rx7's would always crash and then more 7's came than 8's. but still rotary! so its all good.

Yeah, our Flushing Meadows Meet had four RX-8's, one FC, and one M3 (looking to buy an RX-8). Also of course Noodle Boy.

Prior to the Flushing meet, I stopped by the Douglaston Meet. A bunch of chill Miata and Mazdaspeed guys. Definitely a superior spot to ours. They would like a merge, so we should all try Douglaston next week and see how it goes.

Douglaston is not superior to our normal spot. I hate the Douglaston parking lot and the cops always come there to kick people out, worst meet spot in my opinion. And I only live 10 minutes from there also so I'm not biased towards Flushing Meadow Park or anything.

Just cause they got a warrant out for your arrest in NJ don't mean they looking for you in NY...

I kid....

Yeah if cops are gonna come and harass, maybe better to stay where we are at. We could always go get some grub later.

Well, a few guys have agreed to go to Douglaston the next week or two to check things out. Having met and talked with the Mazdaspeedforum/Clubroadster guys, they have said that they have gotten no trouble from authorities for the past 5 years at Douglaston with a regular of 8-20 cars at each week. I don't see why that wouldn't be creditable. Not saying anyone is right or wrong. Either way, it is worth a try.

I am not forcing anyone to go to Douglaston, but simply suggesting it. So for those who want to join are more than welcomed to.

It is where the Cross Island Parkway intersects with the LIE.

The Douglaston meet starts at 7:00PM on Thursdays

Please, no douche baggery, burn outs, revving, no littering, etc, etc. This is not OUR meet. For now we are simply guests to a meet at Douglaston that has been going on for 5 yrs without a problem.

Jgutz glad nothing happened to you that night..and yeah the jackie isn't the best road to be reckless on lol.

Fiz just lemme know when your having your next thing and I'll show up. Although it may be late as usual. Lol.

And I was talking with one of the guys about that meet we had where the lot was full and cars were double parked in the middle. great night. All that was missing was girls like in all the fast and furious movies lol.

And as for the douglaston meet it's at 7 so if anything people can head to the usual meet spot later if anything. you know since our meets start at like 8 and kick up at 9. Lol.

And we got the cherry valley drive!! Lol.

Those guys lied to you, they haven't even been going there for 5 years so theres their credibility out the window. Only about 3 years ago that used to be a VW meet and I was personally there twice when the cops came to kick people out. But maybe they get away with it since the stores are still open when they're there.

My apologies for not making it, guys. I posted on all the other forums telling them I will not be able to make it Thursday and failed at notifying you guys too. My grandma was admitted to the hospital the day before and I wasn't able to make Thursday. Sorry again for the dick move since I was the one that suggested Douglaston.

According to the RX8 guys, there were 2-3 RX-8's there last time and about 20 Miata and Mazdaspeed guys. They said there was no problems and everyone was civilized and nice. Also according to one of the RX8 guys, the cops rolled by and apparently they know the MS crew and did a little burnout for them. So I'm assuming the authorities is no problem at Douglaston.

I suggested to go to the same spot again this Thursday as I did not make it last time and would like to see myself. A few of us at 8club are down to go.

since the douglaston meet is usually at 7 and half the time i cant get out to queens till like 9 then ill still be heading to the usually meet spot if anyone else is down.

plus people can go to the douglaston meet at 7 and if theyre up to it, drive to the usually meet spot in flushing meadows.

Does the flushing meet happen on time, or do people start showing up at 10:30?

last season 10pm was the norm...but it looks as though 9pm would be better especially if people go to douglaston meet and break out at 830 or so...FMP is like the afterparty...lol
